New Baby Girl For Okerekes After 5 Years

After five years of delayed pregnancy, Dr. Chike Okereke has dedicated his new baby girl, Chiemerigo Nino Okereke to God.
The church service was held last Sunday at St, Paul's Catholic Parish, Owerri, Imo State while his residence served as the venue where friends and well wishers were entertained.

Friends, relatives and associates trooped from far and near to celebrate with the family for what many described as a marvelous child.
Speaking to Nigeria Newspoint during the ceremony, Dr. Okereke said that after a five year wait, God has showed them mercy.
Dr. Okereke who is a lecturer at Imo State University Owerri (IMSU) asserted that the trauma
and stress he encountered before the arrival of the baby was daunting.
The academic opined that God has indeed proved critics wrong by blessing his family with the baby after five years of expectation.
Dr. Okereke disclosed that tongues were wagging, saying that his wife could not give birth again.
The academic who could not contain his joy promised to train the baby in the ways of God so that when she grows, she will not depart from them.
On what career will he like the girl to pursue when she grows, Dr. Okereke said that he will not decide for the girl rather he will guide her to make a good choice.
Speaking also, Associate professor Fabian Mbagwu posited that has proved his supremacy by the arrival of the baby.
Dr. Mbagwu who also is a lecture at IMSU wished the little lad God's protection and mercy upon the life of the baby.
He prayed God to grant the parents the resources and the wisdom to train the child in the right way.
For Oha shedrack Ugwuanyaegbulem Obicheozo, the arrival of the baby is the beginning of new things in the family.
Oha Obicheozo who is the secretary general of Oha Owerri said that judging from the temptations the mother went through the pregnancy, the baby has indeed come to effect her generation.
The ceremony attracted the crème de la crème in the society including the Imo State chairman of Nigeria Bar. Association, Barr. S. I. Opara, Dr. Fabian Mbagwu, an associate professor at IMSU, Sir, Oliver Ngere, among others.
